IntroductionPatient safety is the overarching and unifying research focus of the Virtual Anesthesia Machine (VAM) web site.A new, four-year patient safety curriculum at the UF College of Medicine was started in 2008. Some of the simulations at the VAM web site are used to teach medical students and residents at UF and outside UF. Most of the simulations on the VAM web site are free.
